Champagnat Scholars Program
Many alumni of Roselle Catholic who were participants in our Champagnat Scholars Program were offered admission and scholarships to some of the finest colleges and universities in our country. Our Champagnat Scholars have the opportunity to take accelerated courses through our Honors and AP program throughout their four years of high school. These students also receive our most generous scholarship offers that are renewable all four years and they will have opportunities to participate in cultural enrichment activities and field trips.
RC HealthPro Program
RC HealthPro is a pre-professional academic program tailored to students who are science-focused and those who aspire to pursue a career in the related health fields. Students will have the opportunity to earn up to 12 college credits through the Rutgers Health Sciences Career Program and will benefit from a seven year science sequence upon completion. The class size is limited and an application is required for the program.
RC Technology & Engineering Design
RC Technology and Engineering Design is an academic program tailored to students who are STEM-focused and those who aspire to pursue a career in the related STEM fields. The class size is limited and an application is required for the program.
Business Seminar
The Business Seminar program begins in the freshman year, with our one-semester course for all our freshmen in Financial Literacy. Last year, selected on the basis of their performance in the Financial Literacy class, certain sophomores were invited to join the Business Seminar, which met monthly, taught by Roselle Catholic alumni with respected credentials in the business world.
The first session was taught by Richard Sweeney, RC ’66, a co-founder of Keurig Inc., the producer of the world’s best selling single-cup coffee brewer.
Digital Publications
Students are assigned to various events – academic and extracurricular alike — to take photos, shoot videos, conduct interviews and write stories. They then meet back in our Digital Publication Room and our Mac Lab to digitally alter their work to be published on various channels. We’re particularly excited about our new affiliation with Write on Sports, a non-profit organization that works to improve students’ writing skills through sports reporting. Alumni advisors for the "D Pub Club" include Tom Libonate, RC ’64, an accomplished marketing agency professional, and John Cerra, RC’78, an experienced photographer.
SAT Prep
The SAT is a test developed and administered by The College Board which many colleges use as one criterion in admissions decisions. A student's performance on the SAT is, therefore, an important factor in determining the scope of his/her college options. That performance can be enhanced by a good test preparation experience.
To insure that all our students have access to such an experience RC conducts its own SAT test prep course, which all our juniors take during the week immediately preceding the June administration of the SAT. Juniors spend the entire day in test prep classes organized and conducted by our faculty — classes that cover both content and test-taking strategies. We use materials supplied by The College Board itself, which include two full scale practice SAT tests for which students receive computer generated question-by-question analysis. This analysis permits them to identify their particular strengths and weaknesses, and thus helps them better prepare for the exam itself.
As most of our juniors take the SAT in March, before our test prep program, and then again in June immediately after the program, we are in a unique position to assess our program's effectiveness. We see every year that almost all of our students show solid improvement from March to June, with some of them enjoying an increase of hundreds of points.
Seton Hall University Project Acceleration
Seton Hall University Project Acceleration gives our students the chance to earn credits from Seton Hall University for approved courses taken at Roselle Catholic at a greatly reduced tuition rate. The college credits earned through Project Acceleration are accepted at more than 200 colleges and universities.
Project Acceleration courses are open to Roselle Catholic students in good academic standing who are capable of performing Advanced Placement or Honors coursework. Roselle Catholic students enrolled in the program will
have access to the library at Seton Hall University for the duration of their course.

Special Needs Accommodations
Roselle Catholic lends support to those of our students with special learning needs. Some of them take our Focus Room class as one of their seven regularly scheduled periods every day. There, in a small class setting usually limited to eight students, they benefit from the attention of a certified Special Education teacher and an instructional aid, who provide instruction in those areas deemed most important for the student. Other students receive Supplemental Compensatory Instruction in Language Arts and/or Mathematics, for one or two class periods per week.
Our Guidance Department closely monitors the progress of our students with special needs, and helps the classroom teachers modify instruction to ensure those needs are addressed.
International Program
We live in a global society, and our students benefit from getting to know other students from around the world. We regularly enroll international students to give Roselle Catholic that desired diversity. This year we have twenty-five international students, from Gabon and Senegal in Africa to China and Vietnam in Asia. We expect to add additional international students in the years to come.
