The mission of the Roselle Catholic Guidance Department is to guide each of our students through their high school academic career. We provide academic, personal and college counseling. Students are assigned a counselor in their freshmen year who will follow them to their senior year, aiding them in the college application process.
Our counselors meet with their students on a regular basis to monitor their academic performance and systematically plan their academic program from year to year.
Of course, students have concerns other than academic ones and our Guidance Department addresses those concerns in a number of ways. We provide individual counseling and outside referrals when needed.
We also have a Peer Leadership Program, whereby, in a small group setting carefully trained upperclassmen, help the freshmen and sophomores adjust to high school life under Guidance Department supervision.
The Guidance Department facilitates the following events for students and parents during the academic year: College Financial Aid Night, Junior Guidance Night, Career Day and the SAT Prep Program.
In these and other ways, our Guidance Department works to make the RC experience as positive as possible for each individual student.
