The entranceway to Chakey Field is a permanent testament to and remembrance of the alumni, Brothers, faculty, coaches and loved ones of the Roselle Catholic family, who have helped pave the way for Roselle Catholic’s long and rich history of athletic excellence.

The walkway itself is dedicated to Coach “Gags,” who not only started the Roselle Catholic Track and Field program, but also guided the program to national recognition.
During his nine-year tenure as head coach, his teams captured three Championship of America titles at the Penn Relays, multiple NJ State indoor track crowns and a State cross country championship.
