Ms. Tonic, a resident of Hillside, is currently ranked number one in her college-preparatory graduating class. She is enrolled in five Advanced Placement courses this year having already taken two Advanced Placement courses in her junior year and one Advanced Placement course in her sophomore year. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and the Roselle Catholic High School Founders’ Scholars Program. Ms. Tonic was the recipient of the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science Medal. She was also recognized as a Bloustein Scholar for her academic achievement.
In addition, Ms. Tonic was elected senior class president by her peers. Ms Tonic was a member of the varsity basketball team and served as a member of the Yearbook staff. She has also volunteered in her school tutoring students and serving as a peer counselor and in her community helping the homeless. Ms. Tonic has been admitted to the University of Maryland with a full scholarship where she hopes to pursue a career in pediatric medicine and surgery.
