Upset-minded RC baseball nearly rallied from a seven-run deficit – pulling within one run in the top of the sixth inning – but eventually dropped a 17-9 decision to Rutgers Prep in an NJSIAA Parochial B South semifinal.

More than 75 percent of the coaches of RC teams this spring knew exactly what it felt like to wear a Lions’ uniform. These former RC students turned coaches span five decades, from as long ago as 1968 and as recently as 2009.

RC BASEBALL ADVANCES TO STATE SEMI-FINAL

Ryan Sheekey scattered five hits, struck out 12, and walked two to lead Roselle Catholic past St. Rose, 9-2, in the South Jersey, Non-Public B quarterfinals in Wall.

RC’s record-setting sprint medley relay team ran off with plenty of accolades at RC’s annual spring athletic convocation.

ALUMS HONOR CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

The RC team, parents and coaches were honored by alumni and the RC Board at Benito's Restaurant in Union. Over 80 were in attendance, including members of RC's 1963 Championship team.
